First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out - Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me (Martin Niemoller).

Using rape as a weapon of war.

More war stories from South Sudan.

A genocide has continued in South Sudan since December 15, 2013 but the world has stayed silent as they did during Nazi Germany.

After only two years of independence from Northern Sudan, a genocide occurred in South Sudan leading to a full blown war which continues unabated.

“Independence day horror: 146 confirmed killed in Friday Juba clashes”, sounded a news headline on July 8, 2016. It was a caption accompanying an article informing the world about the death and destruction that had occurred at the Presidential Palace in Juba, South Sudan on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the country’s much anticipated Independence from a predominantly Arab and Muslim Northern Sudan on July 9, 2011. Instead of a celebration, a genocide that began on December 15, 2013 with the mass murder of innocent South Sudanese from the Nuer tribe had escalated and now morphed into full blown genocide against all the 64 tribes of South Sudan!

The Documentary Film series takes a close look at what is happening with respect to South Sudan and a genocide that is continuing in plain view of the global community. It provides an avenue for victims, survivors and fighting groups to tell more in depth and varied stories. Highlighting the personal stories behind the continuing genocide, the series is open ended by design in order to allow the story tellers to shape the content of the film. A major objective is to give voice to the masses of South Sudan because they have now come to the full realization that the global community has forsaken them the same way it did Jews in Nazi Germany.

After decades of war between Southern Sudan and Northern Sudan, South Sudan attained independence from Northern Sudan on July 9, 2011.
